Getting Through a Bad Betting Day

Everybody has them. You can't believe what just happened. Some pimple faced 19 year old, chucked a three up from half court for no reason and it cost you 2 dimes. Stuff like this happens, and somehow you have to find a way to get through it. Here are a few things many sports bettors use to get through a horrible day of betting.

Talk with another bettor.
Anyone who bets on sports, knows what you are going through. Anyone who plays poker seriously, knows what you are going through. If you have had a horrible day, talk it over with someone who knows what it is like. Don't go talk to your parents, friends, girlfriends or someone who has no idea what its like to be a serious sports bettor. Discuss your plays that you made and see if you could have changed what you bet on, and what you could have laid off of.

Do something spontaneous.
A lot of self help experts and motivational speakers talk about this as a great way to get your mind off of bad thoughts. Do something random and just get away. If you've never played golf, go to the driving range. If you haven't been working out, go play basketball for an hour. Go to the gym and unload on a punching bag for as long as you can. Call up a random girl in your phone and go do karaoke. Do something! You have a lot of built up frustration in you, so getting it out in anyway possible is always a good idea.

Watch a funny movie/comedy special
How does that quote go... "A day without laughter isn't one I'd like to know"... Or something like that. Anyway, it's a proven fact that laughter is good for your body. It relaxes you and removes some of the stress in your life. So in turn, you will end up feeling better about yourself.

Realize this is just one day
There's 365 days in a year. There's over 80 years in a normal person's life. You will recover. It's just like when a team is down 30+ points in football. You can't just look at the scoreboard and think you're down 32 points, you have to chip away at the lead one touchdown at a time. Say to yourself, "I'm gonna outwork the books for the next 3 weeks". "They can set whatever lines they want, but I'm gonna study them harder than anyone else and exploit 'em." Sports betting is a marathon, not a sprint.
